Another breakfast with you...

Hopefully this will post, last one didn't work for whatever reason.
Things are okay here.
Let's see how the schedule works.
Monday: Work program in the morning. Shoveling sheep shit, cleaning, raking leaves, etc. Lunch. Group, where we go over "weekly goals", how we're all doing, etc. Cleaning program. Each person has a different cleaning task, yay! Dinner. Music group, where everyone can play a song that means something to them.
Tuesday: Exercise: Walks, or on rainy days, pilates. Kitchen program. Work, except in the kitchen. Expressive group- we express our emotions in ways that we wouldn't be allowed to in the "real" world (ie: hitting a plush cube with a wiffle ball bat, etc.). It gets to be pretty nasty sometimes. Lunch. "Adventure Program". Misc. outings, last week we went to the main campus at wellspring (separate from Angelus house) and played with a parachute (fun, i know!!) and then played volleyball. Come back, dinner, and i think there isn't anything tuesday evenings.
Wednesday: Work program again, Lunch. Community meeting, which is everyone who lives and everyone who works at Angelus, which can be pretty daunting. Sometimes it's good news, sometimes it's bad. Dinner. Not much afterward.
Thursday: Exercise, Kitchen, Expressive, Lunch... group in the afternoon, just misc. stuff... this week we wrote poetry about words in relationship to ourselves (my word was "treatment"). Dinner, then Art Therapy, which is just art in an introspective way, and it's a lot of fun. I forgot how much I love art.
Friday: Cleaning! Our rooms and the rest of the house. Lunch (Fridays are theme days, we've had Chinese and Middle Eastern food on different fridays, and once we had all green food). Goals group, wherein we go over what we said we were going to do and if we did it. More "adventure program" except every friday we go bowling. Tuesdays are different every time. Dinner, then R&R.
Saturdays we usually go out to the library, today we went to a crummy park. Sundays, sometimes we do stuff, sometimes not. There's a garlic festival next weekend, which sounds awesome.
Also, tuesday we see the psychiatrist for about 10-15 minutes (he's not really medication reliant...) and I usually see my counselor Jo twice a week for about an hour each time. We're allowed to watch TV from 8-10 on weeknights and then from 1-4 AND 8-10 on weekends. But they're pretty lenient on weekends. Might watch Goodfellas tonight?

Anyway, hopefully I will be able to get some pictures up in here soon. Keep reading, once a week I guess.

Best way to get in touch is to call me here at Angelus house, the phone number is...

HELLO!

Hey guys, I'm not dead. I'm in connecticut actually, hope i spelled that right.

*this post has been edited by Amanda's friend Amber....She is not allowed to have her contact info online. However, if you still wish to contact her you can email me at amj558@truman.edu and I will give it to you*

Anyway, connecticut is pretty nice, not much more special than missouri, and the freakin' geography is crazy here. We're like 20 minutes away from like 3 states? I don't get it.

Other than the fact that someone wouldn't give me medication last night for an upset stomach because I said i thought i was going to throw up (that's a reason NOT to give me something?) things are pretty good here. I still have no music, but other people do.

Cottonwood was pretty fun, and I didn't want to leave at all. AT ALL. I got so mad on monday that I turned on this faucet outside the clinic building and left it on and walked away. Someone turned it off pretty fast.

In other news, there is no other news. I don't have any idea how long I'll be here. Hopefully I'll get my laptop soon which won't mean more updates, but hopefully will mean pictures. I'm allowed to have my camera here, amazingly.

I'm going to cut this short so i can (hopefully) finish all the immediate business I have to deal with in the short period of time at the library when I can use the internet. TCHAO!

(I guess I should mention if I didn't already that emailing me at skweeds@yahoo.com is probably a decent way to get in touch with me, i would love to hear from ANYBODY!)

Peace.
